Description:
Here is an Alco RS-11 unit with its distinctive striped paint but definitely showing its age. Delivered by Alco in March of 1953 (bldr # 82832), the unit was renumbered NW 2563 after the merger. No date, location or photographer was listed for this duplicate slide so an approximate date and location were used..

NKP RS-11 #858 - Nickel Plate Road
Description:
Built by Alco in January of 1959, this RS-11 unit is now showing its age just months before being renumbered to NW 2858 after the merger. It looks like a Peoria & Pekin Union Rwy switcher sits behind the NKP unit with sister NKP 860 to the right.
