Photo Caption: "Southbound freight at Plymouth, Ind., with No. 7944, N-2sa, 2-10-2, and eleven cars, August 29, 1948." Photo by Harold Stirton. Shown here is PRR engine #7944, an N-2SA (2-10-2) "Santa Fe" built by the American Locomotive Company during March of 1919 and retired in January of 1950 after 31 years of faithful service.
