Description:
The ATSF Shops at La Junta, CO in July of 1929 rebuilt ATSF 2-8-0 #859 (Alco-Pittsburgh, 1902, serial #25351, class 825) into ATSF 0-8-0 859. New specs - 57" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 222,800lb, tractive effort of 45,500 lb. The loco was sold for scrap in September of 1950 to Luria Brothers.
