Description:
For a couple of years in the early part of the 2000s decade, NYSW leased a pair of SD38s from Locomotive Leasing Partners. Here one of them leads SU 100 at Kirkwood NY en route to Jersey.

Title:
Mixed up set
Description:
For a while in the 1990s, NYSW could put together a pretty good looking set of power. After Walter Rich passed, and most of the SD 45s were sold or scrapped, they picked up used diesels from a number of sources. The result was, it became harder and harder to find a matched set of power. This SU 100 is a case in point, rolling a 63 car train east past the Kirkwood water plant, though it does have one of the two SD 40T-2's that they had painted at the time.
