The Youngstown and Southeastern northbound train sits stopped on the LE&E, where they sat for most of the day on Friday, February 28, 2014, while NS C29 works the south end of Haselton Yard behind NS #8901 (C40-9W) and NS #9256 (Operation Life Saver; C40-9W). The power for the Y&SE local is (Ex- Kiski Junction) IBCX #752 (GP7R) and IBCX #18 (GP18).

Y&SE on the LE&E
Description:
At 1:18pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, the Youngstown and Southeastern Local "Y&SE1" was starting the climb out of Norfolk Southerns Haselton Yard, leaving Struthers, Ohio and entering Youngstown, Ohio with loads of fracking pipe headed for Darlington, Pennsylvania. The train was led by (Ex- Kiski Junction) IBCX #752 (GP7R) and IBCX #18 (GP18). The train is about to cross grade with the driveway that goes back to NS Haselton Yard. Right here, the train is on former Lake Erie and Eastern (LE&E) trackage, which was built to bypass the congestion at Center Street. The LE&E ends just to the west of this location, right where the actual Youngstown and Southern line comes down the hill.

At 12:57pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, southbound local “Y&S1” took the signal at CP Graham to cross over the NS Youngstown from the Struthers Lead back to the LE&E in Struthers, Ohio. The train was led by (Ex- Kiski Junction) IBCX #752 (GP7R) and IBCX #8343 (GP10). The train is returning from the CSX interchange near P&LE’s Gateway Tower.
