Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5708, two unidentified "EP" Class units, and #5878. All were built by GM-EMD. #5708 is an EP-22 built in October of 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower, while #5878 is an EP-20 constructed in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. This A-A-B-A set is passing through the Duncannon Station with a passenger train bound for Harrisburg and points East. ("Stoneborobranch"; #50 of 56) |

It's parked at the Altoona Passenger Station, at the end of our journey on a very snowy afternoon! |

New Portage. Here is the first of three photos by John M. Prophet III that were taken near the tunnels under Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, on 11 June 1965.
