Description:  UP 659 still has the old style (ex-MoPac?) lettering on the conductor's side, plus an open door or two, as it works in the UP yards at Jefferson City, MO on 7-19-2014. Note the angled or beveled air filter box, and the plain hood, indicating this unit doesn't have dynamic brakes.

Description:  UP 659 has the old-style paint scheme, and a font for the "Union Pacific" lettering that's different from most other UP engines. This unit doesn't have dynamic brakes. Note the air conditioner on the cab (they needed it!) and the battery box panel in a lighter color. This unit was in the UP yards at Jefferson City, MO on 8-02-2014.
